Electors around the country are being harassed with a barrage phone calls, letters, emails — and even death threats—from liberals who are desperately trying to block Donald Trump from being voted in as president by the Electoral College on Monday.
But the chance of these bullying leftists of actually derailing Trump from the presidency are slim to none.
The Associated Press found after interviewing more than 330 electors from both parties, that scores of the electors were going to cast their votes for the President-elect.
“They feel bound by history, duty, party loyalty or the law to rubber-stamp their state’s results and make him president,” electors told Associated Press. “Appeals numbering in the tens of thousands — drowning inboxes, ringing cellphones, stuffing home and office mailboxes with actual handwritten letters — have not swayed them.
