Support the 2nd Amendment

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The Constitution of the United States is among the greatest documents in history, and admits something incredibly significant: our rights are given to us by God, not by our government.

We, the People of the United States, shall not stand idle while those hard fought for rights are stolen from us. The Second Amendment guarantees security, in that each man and woman in this fantastic nation has a right to use it to protect themselves from tyranny or some other threat.

Every year, guns are used over 2.5 MILLION times to defend life!  It is 80x more often to protect a life than to take one!*

According to FBI murder statistics 728 people were murdered by people’s hands vs 323 long guns.

We won’t allow anti-gun zealots and tyrants to intentionally trample on the Constitution and infringe on our rights.

The Second Amendment is essential for our liberty and we shall defend it!

Gun Facts

Based upon Kleck & Gertz estimates of 2.5 million defensive gun uses per year (see source #2). A similar study in 1994 under President Clinton (Source) found this number to be 1.5 million, which would result in guns being used over 47x more often to defend a life than to take one.

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, about 436,000 crimes were committed with a firearm in 2008 (Source). This would mean guns are used 5.7 or 3.4 times (using Kleck or Clinton respectively) more often to defend against a crime than to commit one.

How likely are you to die in a mass shooting? It is the least of your worries. You are more than a thousand times more likely to die from Parkinson’s Disease.

Do more guns cause less crime? There are many variables to examine, but we can see that a rise in handgun availability/supply and the number of states with shall-issue and constitutional concealed carry coincided with a drop in firearm violence (fatal and non-fatal). Though this does not prove that more guns leads to less crime, it does show that they don’t create a bigger problem.
